I purchased a Wildcat motor kit in May 2016 and mounted it on a Huffy Cranbrook. I rode it all summer and it was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made! After tuning the carb and adding a high-compression slant head, it ran very strong. I’m so glad I bought your balanced motor - it doesn’t vibrate at all!

My brother bought a cheap eBay motor and it vibrated badly. Please keep sourcing these balanced motors - you’re the only seller I know who offers them. I’ll be back for another when I build my 29" bike this summer.

The comparison pictures on your “Why Our Engines” page were what convinced me to buy. Other sellers just make claims - you actually show the difference. Rock on!

I got an Avenger 85 from California Motorbikes. After installing it and riding a couple miles, it ran great. When I went to tighten bolts to spec, I found one defective jug bolt hole. I contacted Zane and he fixed the issue immediately. He truly stands behind his products!

I’ll definitely buy again and recommend him to anyone. It’s rare to see business practices like this anymore. Pro tip: always go over your engine completely before mounting. If you catch something early, it can be fixed right away.

I’ve put about 130 miles on my kit so far and am very happy with it! The only issue was I never received a receipt or tracking number, and my email wasn’t answered - but the kit still arrived in less than a week, so all was good.

The kit had everything I needed and more: gear puller, wide front mount, etc. If I buy another kit, I’ll definitely use California Motorbikes again.

I ordered the Avenger 85. There was a small shipping delay, but the owner was extremely apologetic and took it seriously. My kit arrived complete, with quality gaskets already in place. I fired it up today and it started immediately, ran great, and sounded strong. I’ll buy from him again and highly recommend these kits.

I’ve been riding gas bikes for over a year and have had four engines. My first (from Piston Bikes) ran 1,500 miles before my bike was stolen. Later I tried California Motorbikes: after tuning, it ran 600 miles until my own bent wheel caused damage. I then bought another and put 2,500 miles on it before it wore out.

Recently I tried Gasbikes.net - cheap crap that never ran. From experience: if you want engines that RUN, buy from California Motorbikes.

Very happy with my purchase. It runs great! The only issue was the tensioner mount loosening, but that was an easy fix with a piece of inner tube. It’s a dependable motor - mine is on a 26" mountain bike and goes faster than I need. I was so satisfied, I bought another just to keep as a spare. :)

I purchased the 80cc Wildcat Engine Kit and it was very easy to install. The instructions were clear, and it only took a couple of hours. After priming and setting the choke, it started on the second crank and had plenty of power.

I purchased a Wildcat engine kit for my Huffy Cranbrook and it fit perfectly with the adapter plate and U-bolt included. Even though it’s a heavy bike, the balanced Wildcat engine blows away the competition with less vibration.

Friends with lighter, more expensive bikes using eBay/Walmart engines can’t keep up. Their bikes vibrate, fall over, and use cheap plastic parts. My Wildcat has aluminum hardware, no stripped screws, no chain issues - and I even tow a 2-seat trailer without a problem.

I’ve now started a business building bikes, and California Motorbikes will be my supplier. Everything they advertise is true. I did the comparisons - this engine is better quality in every way.

Great motor that screams. The only two issues I had: the throttle cable was too long, and the carb bolt wouldn’t hold. Easy fixes - cut/solder the cable and swapped the bolt with a hex cap from Lowe’s. Superior motor overall.

The best upgrade I’ve done was adding the GTZ Ultra Ported Cylinder + Reed Valve + 16mm Race Carb, along with a windowed piston. The porting makes a huge difference. I also bought the WC80 MZ65-style exhaust pipe - heavy duty, great flow, far better than other stores.

Holy S#&t!!! I’ve owned two 66/80cc engines over the past three years and they were okay, but nothing compared to my new Avenger 85cc. Huge difference in torque and speed - I’m 5'11", 230 lbs and I can take off from a stop without pedaling.

With a 44T sprocket I easily hit 40 mph. This engine is the performance I’ve been looking for, and I haven’t even upgraded it yet. For $200, it’s a bargain. Looking forward to ordering the Minarelli this summer.
